Kybella® Double Chin Treatment
Kybella® is the first FDA approved double chin injection to reduce unwanted fat under the chin. These stubborn fat deposits beneath the chin are referred to as “submental” fat cells and are often difficult to slim, even with consistent dieting and exercise. The buildup of submental fat can give the appearance of a double chin and take away from jawline definition. Patients with double chin may feel that this contributes to a heavier or older-looking appearance. Kybella® is designed to remove submental fat and improve the contours of your chin and jawline. Kybella® treatment is completely non-surgical and does not require invasive incisions or lengthy healing time. Dermatology, Laser and Surgery of Flatiron offers Kybella® to help achieve a more youthful-looking chin line.

What Is Kybella®?
Kybella® is an injectable solution composed of deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is found throughout your body and aids in the breakdown and processing of fat cells. When injected under the chin, Kybella® begins breaking down excess fat cells. Over time, these fat cells are processed and removed naturally by your body.
